In addition to a couple of tribal casinos, there is charitable gambling with only bingo and raffles permitted. The state allows only those land-based casinos that are managed by the Cherokee Nation. When it comes not only to online casinos but to casinos in general, North Carolina in the USA still has a long way to go in terms of liberalization.
